There is no single right answer

The best choice depends on your time, your budget and how much you need done. All three can work; all three fail in predictable ways. Here is the honest version so you can pick the one that fits, not the one someone is selling.

Doing it yourself

Cheapest in money, most expensive in time. It works when you are genuinely willing to spend a few hours a week and you enjoy some of it. It fails when you get busy—which is exactly when your presence goes quiet and the momentum dies. Most owners start here and stall here.

A freelancer

Affordable and flexible, and a good freelancer is excellent at their one thing. The catch is breadth and continuity: they usually cover one area, not the whole picture, and if they are unavailable or move on, you are exposed. Great for a specific job, harder as your whole marketing.

An agency or studio

More expensive, but you get breadth, continuity and one accountable point of contact across listings, content, social and web. The risk is paying for overhead and vagueness—so look for published pricing, clear scope and someone who tells you what not to buy. Best when marketing matters enough to be handled properly and consistently.

The real question, and a hybrid that works

Ask honestly: do I have the time, and do I need one thing or the whole thing done consistently? A common, sensible answer is a hybrid—you handle the day-to-day posting, and bring in help for the parts that need production or expertise.
